THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NATIONAL MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES POLICY AND STRATEGY FOR UGANDA The COMMONWEALTH SECRETARIAT is providing technical assistance to the Government of Uganda to develop appropriate policies and strategies that will encourage mainly micro, small and medium enterprises to adopt competitive business practices and contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Ugandan economy. This mini-website is intended for stakeholders participating in the project activities. It contains all the relevant information required for effective engagement. It is also useful for other parties who are interested in following the progress of the project. The site has two sections. Section 1 deals with the outputs of the project and is structured according to key milestones; from the launch on 14 November 2006 to the anticipated final workshop in March 2007. Section 2 is a repository of documents relating to Ugandan MSMEs Policy and Strategy work done since 2000.
